Introduction
Shlumerturt is known for its unique climate.
Half of the land is a cold, freezing area, similar to Iceland during a winter, but the other half is mysteriously and inexplicably the opposite.
It's a harsh, sun-baked land. Scientists have yet to explain, or even come up with any sort of theories as of why this is, and it's one of the many reasons this land is interesting.
Summer side
The temperature on the summer side is about 35 degrees celsius, and it rarely goes significantly below that. Coldest temperature you can expect is about 28 degrees and the hottest can get up to about 40 degrees
On the sunny side, there are many desserts without much life. Of course there are cacti here and there, maybe you could see a vulture if you’re lucky. The people have tried to preserve nature, especially at the line where the climate changes, since that line is mostly dead.
There are many cities on the sunny side that are dedicated to farming and regrowing the land. Rarely a storm on the winter side or a heat wave from the summer side blows over the to other side, this can cause some problems with fx. farming
Winter side
The temperature on the winter side is about -5 degrees celsius, only goes up to about 3 degrees celsius on the warmer days and all the way down to about -12 degrees.
Similar to the summer side there are plenty of desserts on this side also without much life. You can see the occasional seal or even pinguin, most of them migrated from Greenland or Iceland. There have also been several reports of some walruses seen on the north west side, some say it’s a family. A lot of people hunt for seals and penguins since they’re seen as rare treats. They’re also quite expensive.
Food
The food on Shlumberturt is mainly fish and whatever the summer side can grow. Becasue of how Shlumberturt is with it's tall waterfall walls (see Tourist Info), people have set up nets down at the bottom and then fish just fly from the sky which means cheap food
Little piece of trivia
There is one more thing about Shlumberturt. One more crazy thing. People have discovered a black hole in one of the caves in Shlumberturt. It hasn’t done anything, it’s just been there. Some brave person captured it on camera.
And as you could see in this video, it's true. Some say it's connected to the weird climate, or even the cause of the weird climate. There isn’t much more to say about this, since there isn’t much known about this. But this is the most spooky thing about Shlumberturt.
